Procrastination- A Threat To Leadership
Great leaders seize and capitalize every opportunity. Lurking behind proactive leadership is procrastination which later annihilates credibility, impacts team, and instills status-quo thinking in cross-functional partnerships.
Procrastinating leaders squander time about what others think as they consistently strive for perfectionism, sometimes lack confidence when they’re uncommitted and confused at work, thereby these leaders spawn frustrated, apathetic or disengaged followers.
Slice projects into smaller meaningful, manageable tasks and create personal deadlines with more lead time. Keep a checklist of what needs to be done, whenever possible, take action immediately. Decide if you can delegate by assigning tasks to another competent team member who can act on it faster and would enjoy doing it.
If you tell people you’re going to do something; then DO IT!
